Just somehow wanted to do a piece relating to Abe Lincoln. At first it was gonna be some article / collage type feeling. Then i realized there was a strong relationship of the objective book with the image, then came the idea of the library.

Educating simple who Lincoln was and simply educating by the whole 'go pick up a book' idea.

i love making things look dated.

cool. was the texture part of the source image or did you add it?

oh i added it. its the illustration multiplied over the old paper. the illustration had resembling tone to the old paper and so it blended well together. the book i also manipulated too.
